Hey guys, it's great to be able to go somewhere and get valid answers. I understand the success rates from the early days and even recall the numbers from not-so-recent stats. I really need to know the latest numbers. Don't want to let a newcomer down without an answer for him. Thanks again Doug and Charles, for all you do for all of us !!!

Reply: Since AA doesn't keep records on us, we'll have to go elsewhere for this answer. I'm sober, so we have one so far.

You need to add 2008 (and soon 2012) to your list of leap years.

Is one drink now and then bad for an alcoholic?

Reply: BAD is not a strong enough word...something more like FATAL would be better.

Doug, Charles, once again,, The "go to" guys.
While understanding Tradition 11, what about using last names at out Saturday night Open Speaker meeting? Even though non-members are present, they know what they are in store for even before coming thru the door.
Thank you guys. What a great service you do for us all !!

Doug, Charles,,,something else has popped up that has captured my interest. Got to go to the "guys in the know". In our phamplet,Understanding Anonymity, tehy tell of a famous ball player that thought he could help A.A. by revealing his identity. The phamplet goes on to say that A.A. founders approved this, thinking it would help. My question is,, Do we know who this ball player is? Just more history trivia that interests me. Thanks guys...
