I have been in the rooms of AA since 1975 And although I never met Joe I carry him in my heart daily. It was people like Joe who keep me sober by their love for another drunk and their continued and endless service. I am truely sorry for your loss and be assured that you his family are never alone you will be prayed for daily..
Yours in love and service. Bobby D.

MY gratitude is extended to the family. Many a day I listed to "The big book comes alive." Many times just listing to Joe helped myself and God, keep me sober. He will be missed. But when there is an empty chair at our meeting I know Joe will be there.

It is with a deep sense of loss that I learned of Joe's Passing, I was deeply moved when I attended the Joe and Charlie Big Book Study in Milton Keynes England in the late nineties, their talk made a lasting impression on me and I am pleased to say I am still sober. I hope Joes family and friends find comfort in this time of loss.

I just got word of Joe's passing, and I'm truly saddened by it. I'm lucky enough to have audio tapes of the 2 Joe's and Charlie, as well as a step study on videotape (just transferred to DVD) of Joe by himself, done for the Kelly foundation. The videos and the audio recordings will make sure that Joe continues to help people like me for a long time to come. My sponsor and I will continue to make sure that his message of simplicity reaches as many people as possible. What a great guy. That big meeting in the sky is lucky to have him... -Corey C.
