Just listened to the Big Book tapes again as I approach my 5th birthday. Took me right back to when I used the tapes to help me fully understand the steps on top of what my sponsor was showing me. All part of the AA entity which saved my life and gave me a new one. Thanks Joe. Till we meet again.

We will be opening Chicken Charlies half way house on 10/25/11 named after a long time member of 45 years who happends to be still alive just thought you may wanted to know.Oh one last thing if you see Westly P. at the big meeting tell him AA doing find in New Orleans and its probley his fault.

I've been listening to the Joe and Charlie talks and now I found "The Steps We Took" in my library. I just downloaded "Carry the Message" to my Kindle. I love the way Joe explains the 12 step program. Though I'm not an alcoholic, I have 2 other addictions I struggle with and Joe's books have helped me immensely. I know he's with God. He had such a deep, profound belief.

Joe had already passed before I found sobriety, so I did not hear the man during his lifetime. Still, he lives on in my heart today. I just want to thank him for the part he continues to play in saving our lives. Rest well, sir. You lived an important life.

The big book comes alive by Joe and Charlie helped save my life. I bought the cd set at a round-up in Scottsdale Arizona during my first 3 months of sobriety and played them whilst doing my job. Joe had a great sense of humour and a very infectious laugh which helped me realize that staying sober could be a lot of fun. I am now back in England living the sober life and i just played the cd's for the first time in over 1 year and the sound of Joe's voice made me realize how lucky i am to have found him when i did. RIP dear Joe and God Bless all in his great family. Steve C
