Joe has touched many lives here in South Florida. I know Joe well, but he knew me not at all. In 1991 I reluctantly went to a Big Book Seminar in Pompano Beach, FL. My life and the lives of people I have sponsored since have never been the same.

Joe had a simple, poetic way of explaining our text and the contained recovery program. I have been to many Big Book Seminars since, and have listened to the Tapes/CDs dozens of times - not in the car either, sitting down with a Big Book and other drunks.

God bless LouBelle for allowing him to travel all those years. I can not think of anyone who has made as big a difference in Twelve Step Fellowships since they started.

I only hope that the work we do with the South Florida Big Book Seminar today rises up to the expectations I know Joe has for us.

God bless you, LouBelle and family.

Joe and Charlie broke a little more of the Big Book ice for me, and helped to enhance my life.

So sorry for your loss. The "Joe and Charlie" series inspired me to really study the Big Book and that has made a huge impact on my sobriety. If the measure of a man is what he leaves behind, then Joe McQ. was a giant.

A very sad loss. A giant among his fellow man. AA has lost an ambassador on the 12 step recovery program, his input has no doubt saved many hundreds of thousands of suffering AA`s by making the journey easier to understand and follow.
God bless you all.
You are in my prayers
