All of us at The Wilson House send our condolences. Joe was and continues to be an integral part of our learning here. He was on the very first Board of Directors at The Wilson House. He will be greatly missed but we are so grateful that we were able to share in his life.... a life that touched countless people and a life he lived for God!

I got sober in Dallas TX abd was fortunate to hear Joe speak early in my sobriety.
Joe and Charlie came to Dallas several times and were always appreciated. God has blessed me by putting great sobriety in path of recovery and Joe was one, He will be missed. God bless

Dear Joe's family: I had the privilege and honor of meeting Joe last year during my first sober cruise which was a 20+-year old dream come true for me. Joe was so gracious. I liked to consider him the straight man and Charlie the clown ;-) I bet Joe's enjoying that coffee in the Big Meeting upstairs now. Bless you and thank you for sharing Joe with us all these years.

Dear Family of Joe McQ,
I was quite a few years sober when I thought I didn't need meetings anymore. Well I didn't drink but picked up a gambling addiction that almost took my life. I came back to AA with all the fever of a dying person. I was terrified and then I discovered the Joe and Charlie tapes on the Big Book. They saved my life. I was in sales and was able to keep them on my tape player in the car so listened to them constantly. There is no doubt in my mind that those tapes along with many, many meetings and the good people of AA saved my life. I will always be eternally grateful to Joe and Charlie. Wishing you my most sincere condolences in the loss of your Joe. He was and is an AA Angel. God Bless and warm hugs for all of you. He will be missed. Beth in Edmonton

I never knew Joe except from the "Joe and Charlie" tapes which I listened to many, many times. Through them, I know he was a kind, compassionate man and I like to think of him as a good friend. To his family I send my heartfelt sympathy.
