As one of the committee which organised Joe and Charley to Australia I grew to love them both and gained great strength from them.

At the recommendation of my sponsor, I am using "Carry This Message" with my sponsees. What a difference. I am experiencing miracles in their lives and then in mine.

I was privileged to be at a Joe and Charley BB study on Long Island in the late 80's or early 90's.

AA is blessed to have had Joe McQ and I look forward to being at the Big Meeting in the hereafter.

So much aloha,
Ann

Saw/heard Joe on video tape in 1987-88..he shared step 5 [+ 1-4]...I identified and knew i'd taken them right..and felt i was on the road to recovery...Joe dispelled ANY doubts i had...he was right...so was I...like him i recovered from alcoholism...thanks to him for sharing his wisdom...in the way he did...no airs nor graces...showed me i was on the right road.

I attended a weekend conference, 1989, where Joe & Charley explained the Big Book. Joe signed my Big Book and I will forever be grateful for giving me this wonderful opportunity to change and grow. I'm humbled and we have lost a great person full of genuine love for his fellowman.

I have only just stumbled upon the news that Joe has not been with us for a couple of years now. I recently started listning again to the Joe and Charlie Big Book study tapes after years of sobriety. Back in 1991 when I was introduced to the fellowship at 24 yrs old my 1st sponcer and I would sit in his car for hours which added up to days at a time listening to Joe and Charlie who played a huge part in my early sobriety. I loved Joe even though I have never met him and God bless him and his family. Darren Mc

I am deeply saddened by this news. Joe Mcq, Joe McC and Charlie P. helped me more in my recovery than anyone else ever did. I love his books, lectures with Charlie (BIG FAN)....I just can't say enough how much I loved Joe...He helped to save my life, and helped me to spread the word of TRUE recovery to countless others. Joe, my dear friend, I will miss you forever! THANKS for all you did to help me and my family. May GOD watch over you, and continue to spread the Word of Recovery in your afterlife, and next life. It was a great honor to know you, even though we never met. Miss you Joe! Your friend Warren C.
